@flower I'm trying to have patience, lol. Two days ago he made a very persistent go of it while I was in the coop. Didn't succeed that time but he was really after her so maybe he's gotten her a few times now. I'll be candling the latest eggs tomorrow night and then I'll be able to see. I wish the darn girl would just hold still for him!

Well good luck, sometimes all it takes is time however I almost believe that some hens will not allow themselves to be mounted unless it is they are laying and really like the rooster. IN OTHER WORDS SOME HENS ARE DISCRIMINATING.

I love the look of this blue NN pullet I have. Not even sure how I got the colour. I have White and Barred Hens. I had a incomplete dominant white Cock. He was white with black blotches. Anyway.. happy accident! I have a blue boy for her as well

I still have Shakespear and Riker they are both doing their jobs. The girls are laying fertile eggs. Shakespear and Riker are much flashier, prettier, but the up and comer boy has the darker Fm that neither Shakespear nor Riker have. Why oh why can't I find one guy that has it ALL lol lol lol

Where are you from? It says the desert. You get cold? lol

I have had frizzles for years, and they do just fine here. We get to -40 on the coldest days. Average around -15 for a high in the winter (lows average -20ish).
