Slowly I am working on my own style of NN with black skin. There is a woman in the valley who is breeding Aloha NNs. First she worked on Aloha chickens which are mottled mahogany, white and tan. I mentioned this because many who fancy NN use them in breeding their specific style. Frequently, after a chicken person discovers the wonderful attributes of NNs they are SOLD on the breed and then become interested in breeding. I had my first hatchery NNs in the late 90s. Since then I have tried many different breeds but NN in my opinion are BEST.

Please post pics of your fibro nn as many of us are doing it and I would like to see others results.

Hello! And that's awesome! A few of my NNs tend towards a combination of grey and pink skin, while others tend towards yellow skin, and several of them have "green" chicken feet, which I actually kind of love. I bet your fibro NNs are beautiful! And you're right...they really are a wonderful breed.

This is one of my 8-week-old cockerels with a lot more of the black pigment in his legs and face only. I can just imagine how gorgeous and all black NN would be!!

Switched some of my hens and roosters around to get some new matings and some more Green Egger Naked Necks.

Moved my Orange Barred rooster and put over a Columbian NN, a classic Red NN, a Mottled Partridge NN, a Wheaten Duckwing GENN, and 2 Easter Egger hens, and two more hens that are part EE and lay green eggs.

My Blue Copper rooster still has a Golden Laced NN, a Blue Copper hen, and a Easter Egger hen.

I took the Black Jersey Giant rooster and put him with a Dark Red NN and the Silver NN hen, plus a green egg laying hen.

Next I took the Blue wheaten Ameraucana rooster and have him with 5 Easter Egger hens, and three NN hens a White and a gRed one, and a Partridge colored one.

This way I can produce Naked Necks, Easter Eggers and Green Egger Naked Necks.
