Hey mamawolf, do you ever get non NN from your eggs? I have one mystery chick that's feathering out JUST like all your little NN grandchickies - buff with buff/brown feathers and a black dot on the head, but no NN, just a big fluffy fully furred chickie.. I was scratching my head trying to figure out why I had one buff regular chick in a mix of all the others.. could it be?

Anyone ever had animal control called on you for possible abuse of your chickens? Just wondering seeing not everyone knows they are supposed to look like that.

What colors did you get

I am in southern Idaho and bought them at my local CAL Ranch store. I really thought that I would be able to ooh and aah over the chicks and walk away and was even thinking, "okay, CAL Ranch, hit me with your best shot" as I was walking in the door and then Bantam Turkens!

I don't know who their supplier is but I will ask next time I am in there.

I assumed it was Dunlap Hatchery but they have Welp breed posters on display. They had about 30 when I first saw them and bought 3 and then bought the remaining 4 the next day. I will load pictures tonight when I get home. Too cute!

Here are my bantam Naked Necks!

I also purchased 2 D'uccles and a black cochin? (the one up front, but I am not sure). This is my first time with bantams. I had so many light NN's that I picked out the darker colors with the bantams. I don't know what they will look like when they grow up!
