Love that little perch!

Your little guy looks a lot like my three black NN chicks.

Hey everyone! I've decided to get 20 naked necks for laying and breeding this year, but I can't find a breeder. So do any of you ship chicks?
Also what's your opinions on the easiest color to keep breeding that's APA recognized

Hi Kev, Here is my naked neck baby. It has a white patch on its head as did the others at the shop.
I wasn't quite ready to get these little fellas but ended up with a layer chick that was rejected so was hand raising one...
Interesting to know naked necks are not that uncommon!! What do you think of my little one?

That little swing is so cute!!!! I'll have to try that next time I brood chicks...

(Your little guys is just precious...

Fibro Spanish project birds. I started with silkies and bantam Spanish. Have since added large fowl Spanish and Svart Hona into the mix. I was hoping for intense blue faces, but the Spanish seem to be carrying something that kills expression of blue in the ear lobe. I suspect as I get further along with getting good white face expression, the color will go all white.

That is absolutely too cute. I have never seen a swing in a chick brooder, that is an awesome idea.

It looks like it might be a nice size chicken, not a small one but not sure how big it will be. It will feather out barred- feathers with black and white barred pattern, like on a barred rock. The white spot on top of the head like that is a sign of barring being present.

It is very common for people to not like naked necks.... until they get one, then most of them fall in love and get some more. Up here there is a catalog you can order baby chicks of several different breeds. One day I was picking out breeds from the catalog... decided to try one naked neck chick, just one because I was not sure if I would like it at all.

Now my flock is almost all naked necked, haha.....

So far so good. 24 degrees 11 with windchill this last weekend. They say they ain't cold, doesn't seem to bother them at all. The four naked girls started laying a couple weeks ago and ain't missed a beat :)

The other group wouldn't cooperate and get into better light lol. This red/black cockerel is actually much bigger than the white, compared to the giant pullets though hard to tell lol.

My next hatch is definitely going to focus on creating a white NN. I just LOVE how they look.

Adorable chicks! And I am totally stealing that chick swing idea. That is too precious!
