Naked Neck/Turken Thread

My naked neck bantam from Dunlap. I named her Gwenyth, sort of as a shout out to the gweela, or Australian bush-turkey, which she so strongly resembles to me.

Her namesake (they are normally black feathered, but this one really draws out the similarities with his white feathering). (Photo source.)

Why does it has feathers on the legs?
My NN is Eggless this year and she is only 20months. Only 2 eggs for this 2022 unlike all her family who are all laying.
