Kev, is she silver laced?
Has anyone been having trouble getting Naked Necks from feather-neck x Naked Neck crosses lately? Last 2 hatches (approx 10 days apart), everything that could potentially be NN (and usually hatches half NN) has hatched ALL feather-neck chicks!
Looks like the tide is changing --- I have a barred NN and a dark skin frizz? NN green-egger chick hatched this morning. This bunch is acting draggy (Day 21 began Thurs PM, but we had a couple of T-storm associated power outtages). All the 'big eggs' hatched overnight, but the smaller eggs aren't showing any progress.

what gorgeous dogs you have, I've never seen liver and white borders before. I got so taken up with your dogs I forgot we were on a chicken forum.

Lisa- yes silver laced but not 'perfect'. Total surprise.. did not have laced birds in flock, mom hid a nest and brought a big batch of babies around and she was one of those. Pretty lucky combination of genes! She gave me the idea to get started on laced turken project..

You never get what you want with hatches you so carefully set and hovered over.

The odds will swing the other way eventually and get more NN. Just like sometimes it seems they come out all roosters or hens(and of course never the sex you want!).

Marco Her sister was mottled, not naked necked though so did not keep her.. I sort of hope this silver laced hen is carrying mottle.. because lacing + mottle= Tolbunt! That would be pretty awesome.

Most of them turn out looking more like a modern, except body is a little longer, feathers not so short, and legs not so long(still look longer than normal legs).. The occasional one will have fairly long legs.

I had a NN rooster out of standard modern rooster over a large hatchery turken, he was very tall! was mostly neck and legs.
