Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I see 2 girls pic #8 and 9 I think are the same girl and the other one is the black one with the rosecomb.

So pic 8, 9 is the red one w/ the red and white cap, that's great I'm glad she is a girl she is one of the two that have completely bare necks. I don't know which black one has a rose comb, I thought they all had pea combs

Oh I wasn't saying it wasn't rose, just that I assumed since it was tiny it was pea. I have to ask though what are you looking at in the black ones, to me they all look identical and I have no idea what characteristics would show boy or girl????

I think photo #5,6 and 8

I put an album of NN chicks in my signature line. These are all 4 or 6 wks old I tried to label them but the uploader jumbled the order I had them in. If anyone that can tell gender would take a look and tell me which or how many are boys I would appreciate it.

Okay so single comb bare neck x single comb bare neck = all bare necks

So if you have a single comb bare neck x bow tie or bare neck w/ pea comb is it the genetics square thing where there would on paper be a 25% chance of bare neck?

The chicks I have of the two bare neck single combs the white male w/ black leakage and the red female what color chicks could I expect from that match??

yes

50%. 25% is if both parents have big bowties, indicating they are not pure for naked neck.

if he is pure for what makes him black/white(it's the silver gene) then all chicks will be like him. if not, then half of the chicks will be like him, half like mom. both sexes. the b/w sons will be carrying gold and will be able to throw reds. the only difference between his and her color is that he has silver gene and she has gold gene. silver is dominant over gold.

Okay a couple more questions

sorry, but I really don't get chicken genetics well.

Is this boy blue, or blue barred, or something else

If he is the boy I keep instead of the white and black I can expect complete bare necks out of 50% of the pairing w/ the red complete bare neck and 25% of any pairing w/ another bow tie, and none from any non NN (those would either not have nn at all or a bow tie)

Will I get more color diversity from his offspring then the white and black? (I really like diversity)

His flock will be other NN girls and EE girls, would he add some blue to the offspring w/ the EE's?

Thanks for all your genetics help.
