Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Might I suggest becoming a truck driver to find a job? I'm young so I can't speak for older people but lots of jobs in trucking and it will always grow. I am almost done with my CDL schooling and got couple pre-hires from a few companies before even getting the cdl.

WOW!!
It's beyond words, it would be nice to come, our 16th year anniversary is at the end of this month

We love the mountains, but it's just to big for the both of us.

And we just want to get away for our selfs,
But it's just beautiful.

Yea, it is usually rented by multiple families....like reunions, wedding parties, church groups, etc.

No, we have a 7000 sq foot log home on 25 acrea of woods in the North GA mountains. We have a 3 acre lake full of fish, and our decks face Amicalola Falls, the tallest waterfall East of the Mississippi! Check out our website! http://www.vrob.com/438003 Due to the horrible economy, we lost our business and almost lost our home. We survived 9 advertised forclosures! Now in our 60's, it is really hard for us to find jobs, especially when we live 25 miles from the nearest small towns! Most people want 2 30 year olds instead of a 61 year old.....Anyway, the bank revised our loan so that we can now afford to stay here! That's when we decided to rent out our home and live in the apartment attached to the house. (Was our daughters before she moved to Wash DC), We started doing this last Oct. and we are pretty much booked out! We were worried about the chickens, but it seems most renters love the chickens! Some renters were lucky enough to be here when we had hatchings! The kids would all sit around the incubator and watch them hatch and then I would let the kids name them for me! It seems to be one of the highlights for them! Of course, seeing bears in the yard, or deer has been fun for those city folk that come! The mountains and the waterfall is a great view from the hottub on the deck. We do campfires and treasure hunts and have a canoe, a paddle boat and an infared sauna/ Don't you want to come?????? My Granddaughter looking at our home/
That picture took my breath away!! What a BEAUTIFUL HOUSE how much do you charge for a weeks stay?

I hear ya..most of my guaranteed pullets have turned into roos, too. Oh yes, Hawk is 100% a roo. I see a lot of roos there. The others, would need closer, clearer pics of their faces and saddle areas (feathers on the back near the tail) to make a guess for it.

Yea need clearer pictures, sorry.

Agree Hawk is a roo and looks just like what a cochin and EE cross would look like.

Redd is a roo, his coloring is either what's called dark brown (look up dark brown leghorns) or red duckwing with probably the mahogany gene added(what makes him a little dark colored).

All pictures of Cotn are too fuzzy to be sure, in some seems pullet but in the closest picture seems to have a large dark red patch growing on shoulders/back.. this is roo coloring coming up.

If Ladd is the black one with curvy tail feathers, it is a boy.

Can't see Turk very well, not seeing any clear roo signs however, by the size might be a boy.

I suspect Pebbles is really a mix, not a barred rock. The body is pullet looking but the bars are awfully light... if this were a pure barred rock, it would be considered a likely male due to the lightness. However it is possible to get a light colored barred hen if mixed.

Flowerbh- very nice place!
