Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I was thinking Phyllis Diller and Pres Lincoln
I can see the resemblance between the NN and Phyllis Diller and they are probably around the same age too. [The Pres and Phyllis ]

I hatched 29 chicks this weekend. 7 bantams for a friend. Of the 22 I hatched (LF), 4 are frizzled Naked Necks! And one regular feathered Naked Neck. Can't wait for them to get a few more feathers so I can takes some cute pictures for you!

Loving the latest pics! Beautiful birds. I must get me some frizzles now.

So sorry!  I know how that feels.  Do you think they could have gotten into some poison?  Even secondary poison, like eating bugs or mice that had been "exterminated" for?  I lost a rooster that way.  The mouse had eaten some poison, came out of the house and we saw the rooster go after it.  We didn't really connect the danger until the rooster got weak and died two days later.  Bad feed?  Mold?  Keep looking.  Hugs to you.

So sorry I just saw this. Thank you. :hugs I wish I could find an explanation like that, but no one here (100+ acre family farm) uses poison. There are 12 cats and 7 dogs outdoors amongst us to handle pests. I thought it must have been the feed but I went through the very little that remained of that bag and it appeared ok. That's still my best working guess though, a bad feed bag, but no way to tell now I guess. Just keeping a close eye on the others, who are still thankfully all fine.

Glad to hear all the rest are still doing well.
