Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I totally understand, I live as far north as I ever intend to live, and would love to live in a place that didn't see below 50 degree F ever!

It's amazing how 20 can actually feel quite warm if the wind isn't blowing.

My daughter lives in Atlanta she said it took her 8hrs to get home from work yesterday and alot are still stranded.

That sounds horrible! I hate to sound like a weenie, but I just don't like the cold. I lived in Louisville, KY for a couple of years and that was too far north, couldn't wait to get back to GA.
I was stationed at Fort Campbell in the early to mid 70's but my position let me live in a nice house in Old Louisville. I was there in 1976. No snow plows...no snow 'nothing'. But there was 2.5 to 3 feet of snow in the streets and it was cold!!!!!!

The stores didn't even carry snow boots. Fortunately, I didn't need them.

Im from costa rica im going in july to see my mom
Beautiful country. I haven't been there in years but I could live there. More rain than I like but it beats the H### out of sub-0 temps...

Here is another vote for warmth ! I moved from PA and WV to the southwest. Here where the altitude is about 5K the winters are cold at night. But the sun comes up soon and warms the earth and people. My birds prefer the cold to the intense heat of July and August but then coolness of shade with the damp soil helps them tolerate that also.
