Yes, he is an NN favorelle. I have a younger boy up and coming to but will have to wait to see how he looks when he gets his adult feathers. The girls are a bit darker than what I would like but hopefully soon I will get it.

My girls are laying all at once and to my surprisey NN girl is laying double yolks eggs the XL one is hers... The only roo with all the girls is a small little bantam he's so cute and Small will it be possible for him to mate with a NN,Brahma,white Cochin???

Congrats on your eggs! As to your question- it's kinda yes and no. Some bantam roosters learn how to properly breed large hens, some never seem to or really cannot due to anatomy- legs too short or?? A small roo with longer legs seem to be more successful than a "medium bantam" roo with very short legs over large hens.

Put a harness on him, throw up in air and use as a kite! Or not... his legs might create so much drag it shows up as an anomaly on weather radar.....

LOL...yes, I bet they would cause too much drag to use as a kite. I am surprised he can walk let alone run but he can move pretty quickly. LOL

Kev? DDD? I feel I should know already if frizzle is a dominant or recessive gene, but I shamefully don't. The naked neck gene is an incomplete dominant, so some of the babies would hatch out NN, and those that don't have completely lost the gene (aren't carriers). I know frizzled NNs can be done, but I'm not sure if it's a straight cross or if there's more that goes into it. If you go back through the thread, there are some gorgeous frizzles.

I'll bite .......................... You will get some frizzle, some smooth, some NN some feather necked. If any trait shows (frizzle or NN) it can be passed if it does not show they didn't get it and can't pass it??????
