Going to huge show next month to the Northeast Poultry Congress up in Springfeild, Mass. This is the Champions League of chickens. I will be scouting for the last time then I'll will competing myself.

My dad is old school Greek and thinks it's stupid showing chickens. He and my mom came from poor living style in there village and used chickens for eggs/meat cause they were poor back then and that's how a lot people lived. Sorry times has changed dad!

If I win best Large Fowl by a NN I think I'll cry..

I can relate to your dad's old school philosophy in some respect. although I like going to the shows because there is a lot to be learned there, my pocketbook says' "Wait a minute!" I gota live within my means and that is not going to allow much in the way of extras. I can not believe what some people spend on their fowl.

@flower I know what you mean I was just showing my work partner (not a chicken keeper) the GFF site they have several breeds that are $1000 each and one that is $5000 for a pair (no I didn't accidentally hit the 0 button too many times)

wow really there worth that much love to show but dont really have many here that I know of plus my chooks aint worth diddly squat lol except to me of course

Green Fire Farms

Their "bargin" chickens were about 50 per unsexed chick, then around 100 per unsexed chick then several in the 1000 (I think those were not chicks) and then the one pair breed for 5000
