Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Buff Orp? Looks very full and who ever the breeder is they knows there Orps, this is probably a English import Orp
Yes, Buff Orps. That's where I found the best quality and color to work with. I should add, the pics were taken when the birds were 5.5 months old but they are now young cocks and mine has eggs in the breeder's bator.

Looking forward to getting him here.

Thank you!

EDIT: For miserable spelling. (or typing) both??? lol

ron u taking the orp to your naked buff hens?

That was the sole purpose in acquiring him. We decided early on, if we were going to do NNs, we were going to do it right, or at least what we think is right!

Might want to be carful of the Orp feet color cause SOP Buff NN require yellow legs and Buff Orps SOP feet are whitish color (as you can see in the Orps pic), you may end up with a lot of white/pearl color feet NN's instead of standard yellow feet for NN. Not telling you how you should do it cause you can breed your own way but I'm giving you the standard SOP. I understand that's your goal with the project to get SOP birds I'm just helping you out now.

SOP also call for

BACK; rather long, moderately broad, carried horizontally.

COMB,FACE,WATTLES AND EAR-LOBES; bright red
BEAK; Yellow
SHANKS AND TOES; Yellow

just trying to help you see what the SOP looks for, since that's your goal.
