LOL! I'm like that with alcohol too. We occasionally have ONE drink, but never in public and only rarely even at home. Neither of us ever took to alcohol and I've seen far too vividly the side effects of enjoying it to much. I guess I'm just too much of a control freak. Still...it seemed like a viable suggestion.

LOL being a frequent designated driver... I know what you mean... I deliberately get drunk once just to see what the big deal was.. wasn't impressed. Ummm now the special brownies I have to admit wasn't too bad lol

I know I'm late to the party, but if you get stung or bit by insects you can try hydrocortisone. Betamethasone works a lot better, but I think it is by prescription only (unless you go to Mexico and by it there). Put a dab on the sting/bite and then cover it with a bandaid so the medicine doesn't rub off on your clothes. I've been using Betamethasone cream for years since I'm severely allergic to mosquitoes. It is awesome!

Thanks!! I've added that and destin to grocery list and will talk to doctor about betamethasone at the next visit.

Ouch.... it cannot be fun being allergic to mosquitoes!

I don't think of it as a character flaw but schooling and decades of very direct and concise speaking has made it difficult for me to come off in a sympathetic way....but I am trying.

The 'problem' is not manifested when I speak to folks face-to-face but almost always with the written word.

Oh I get this.. I am almost forever feeling like I wrote something in a wrong way or came across different than intended.. sometimes the feedback makes me cringe.. I look at it as a learning process though.

And sometimes, no matter how delicate or benign your words, someone will still take offense because that's what THEY are like. I've seen some online battles start over the most ridiculous reasons.

I have the SOP from Lisa(DDD) I can copy and send in PM, let me know if you want it.

The basics: horizontal body with rather long backs and moderately broad. Tail med. length, well spread and held at 20 deg angle. deep well rounded breasts with keep going well beyond front and back of the legs. Medium length shanks.

Here's what the SOP says:

BACK: Rather long, moderately broad; carried horizontally. Saddle - area at junction with tail, devoid of feather growth but covered by saddle feathers reaching over bare area.
BREAST: Deep, full, well-rounded. The crop area devoid of feathers.
BODY AND FLUFF: Body rather long, broad, moderately deep, keel extending well to front and rear of the legs; areas under wing and around vent devoid of feathers.
LEGS: Legs set well apart, straight when viewed from the front. Lower Thighs - large, medicum in length, upper area devoid of feathers; area near hock joint, also devoid of feathers. Shanks - medium in length, smooth, stout.
