Naked Neck/Turken Thread

One of my fm girls (the only one that lays green eggs) disappeared w/o a trace.  I have walked the entire yard and all fence areas no sign of attack, no feather pile nothing.  I don't think she is broody somewhere b/c we have been getting eggs from her before her vanishing.  She was one of my favorites, very dark fm and tiny pea comb.  So all her eggs went in the bator, since there was room to spare, no sense in running a 20 egg bator w/ just 6 eggs right???????  so I filled 'er up.  Really hoping before the end of the 21 days someone decides to go broody.

Hope that you hatch something similar from that eggs. I don't know what could get her, maybe something from the air?!?

How awful! It's always the favorites. Glad you had her eggs to put in the incubator. After Paula died, I started collecting Lissa's eggs (didn't get a girl form her). May or may not set them, but it's available if she gets sick as well.

Here's hoping your girl shows up...

So sorry. It's always the best or favorite.

Hopefully you'll get a good hstching from her eggs (6 ) right!

Thanks everyone, and yes Draye 6 of her eggs, the rest are just assorted from the flock. I don't know most of the eggs individuals lay, she was just obvious the only true pea comb female and the only green egg.

I'm hoping she shows up in three weeks with a bunch of chicks for you. I had a similar episode and thought a hawk must have got her. One night while putting chickens in I was walking back to house and here the cluck cluck cluck of a broody calling her chicks. I thought I don't have a broody and turned around to see her and 11 chicks
