Thanks! I'll try the traps. Good luck with the rats! Try planting the mint. It's easy to sprinkle some seeds or plant some small plants and see if the rats leave once the mint begins to grown.![]()

I also have mint growing around and right up next to my coops....and have mice. The chickens don't like the mint, but the mice aren't fazed a bit.
Are there different varieties and maybe we have the wrong one?
there are so many varieties but if rats and mice can get used to poisons and tolerate it why should they be bothered with herbs?
Hello!
I've had Naked Necks for around a year now, and I just got some stunning hatching eggs from @DesertChic
Anyways, I am wanting to start a Lavender Naked Neck breeding project. I've got the lavender Ameraucanas, but I can't find any pure black Naked necks. Does anyone know where I can get some?
I'll keep looking, guess I should write this stuff down, just was reading on one of the threads I'm on not to long ago and looked the person up that had standardized blacks, and whites, and I think another color maybe, was thinking of them for a future source of more whites, I'll keep looking.
