Better pic of my girl. She's the youngest but doesn't let the bigger girls push her around.

Those look like the ones I got last year from a feed store that orders from a hatchery in Texas, if so they are wonderful birds, very healthy and great resilience, you will be so very happy you picked them up on a whim!
They're probably from Ideal, I'm thinking. My original NNs are from Ideal and they have been wonderful. Enjoy!!!!!![]()
You gave me the itch with Turkens by reading your threads at Sustainable Meat / Standard Bred Dual Purpose Bird Thread about your birds, so you're the one to blame.....lmao....I was doing well with my Cornish crosses until you came along....lmao.

You'll love them!!!!!![]()
Guys, Dunlap Hatchery called me today. Their NN hatch was a horrible fail (they had some power issues, I think), something like 18 NNs after setting 300+ eggs. So those chicks will NOT be arriving on Saturday. We will try again next week - fingers crossed that their hatch goes ok.![]()
You guys are seriously giving me the itch to hatch more chicks!

Warning, I think they're addicting. I never ever wanted them before reading DesertChick and a few others, and doing a little research. Now that I have them they might become my main focus/breed. Going to keep one line pure and another see if I can get 3/4 CX's eventually with naked necks. Will be packing the incubator for the Easter HAL with as many naked neck eggs as I can get and hopefully some CX crosses.
Quote: Purely Poultry is in Wisconsin, Dunlap is in Idaho, and it's February (though you wouldn't know it from how warm it is outside here). So I'm better weather/storm issues...

They are still being brooded inside so they have been completely off heat for a week or so now. I will be moving them to the garage soon so they may go back on night heat for a few days to adjust when I move them.
