Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Barely a comb at all! Quite the naked neck, too!

Yup, that's why he's still here. He's too small but look at him, I love that nakedness!

I have some Dorking/Red Ranger eggs in my incubator. I'm hoping they're pullets because I want to put them with him to see what I get from the mix. Maybe it'll pump some size into his gene pool down the line.

Did he get that comb from an Easter egger? Maybe you could put up with small birds if they laid lots of pretty eggs . . .

I have no idea what his full background is. @cactusrota is where I got the eggs and she mixes things up a bit.

I don't know how you ladies get your chicks to stand still none of mine will, but here are the babies from my hatch of the eggs

lol, I probably have over 500 of mine, but to get them out of the tote, it's hold them or plan on playing chase the chick for the rest of the day.. not a fun game when getting on your knee's makes you want to cry.. I've had a couple of hens escape out the gate on the run, I managed to get them back in as they wanted the treats everyone else were getting, but I told them it was either get back in the run or be coyote bait as I wasn't playing chase the chicken. Had one of my Roo's yesterday try and run, caught him with my foot and shifted him back, told him if he got out and I got him back in, I was throwing him over the fence so that Charlie could kick his butt. He's been trying to fence fight.

Not to mention bringing in some new blood into the gene pool with the one's that you got from @cactusrota and me. It will give you more to work with.

As I understand it JG are slow growers and he appears to be a late bloomer like Fugly was. He could be from her JG roo so he could be a decent size when he finishes growing. I really like him regardless so I'm going to try to keep him around.
