Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I have no idea what his full background is. @cactusrota is where I got the eggs and she mixes things up a bit.
She's gonna lay tan colored eggs. I can't remember if I sent you any blue eggs, but if I did they would have come from my fully feathered pure Ameraucana, so none of her offspring would be homozygous Na/Na like that one. I do have a 3-4 hens with messy/improper pea combs though, so messy pea combs like hers are not unexpected.

That's a pullet! Pretty little girl, too!!!

I believe you're right. She's rather skittish so getting close for a close look has been difficult but I was able to this morning. No saddle feathers coming in. This is the one we thought would be a rooster when she was little. Slow feathering little beast.

No blue eggs from you this time. I'm kinda glad it's a pullet tbh, she is staying regardless of size.

I could tell by the big poofy elizabethan era butt... ;-)

For starters, I've been converted to a NN fan. Thanks to @igorsMistress & @BlueBaby
:clap
I got 2 pullets from a local farm over the weekend, and was kind of shocked how sweet they where before they even got a chance to know me. The brown girl is particularly sweet, and seems to be a lap chicken.

I do have a question already though. Do NNs have a 3rd waddle?

No, they don't normally have a third wattle.

Interesting. I'll try and get a couple of pics from both girls today. The "3rd waddle" is not quite as firm as a normal waddle. It's right between a waddle and flesh in regards to how it feels. I don't think the brown girl has it though.

I can't wait to let them roam with the rest of the flock!

I love the dark tail on the brown one. I can't wait to see what your chicks will look like too.
