Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Here's the itty bitties, in the brooder by themselves. I moved the 2 bigger girls to a separate brooder, they're just too rambunctious. The 3 on the right are about 10 days, the Dorkings and little Nn on the left hatched Monday.

For starters, I've been converted to a NN fan. Thanks to @igorsMistress & @BlueBaby
:clap
I got 2 pullets from a local farm over the weekend, and was kind of shocked how sweet they where before they even got a chance to know me. The brown girl is particularly sweet, and seems to be a lap chicken.

I do have a question already though. Do NNs have a 3rd waddle?

I've never seen one to have a third waddle. I am glad that you are enjoying them, and have found out how sweet that they are.

Finally got a pic of that grayish chick next to a hatchmate. So far it's feathering out white but not quite as bright as the others @BlueBaby

They both hatched from the nice shaped tan egg's, right? Same mother and father to both, then. The other 2 NN hen's like her lay lighter colored egg's, but are longer and skinnier. Then the other NN/CCLB lay's the light green egg's.

@Trimurtisan No, and that could have been because the NN rooster that I had over the CCLB hen was white, maybe. She does lay a nice light green egg, though.
That sounds like a neat mix. Was it the rooster in your avatar?
I'll actually be getting some CCLB eggs sent to me next month, and was already wondering about that cross.

Yes, it was. The rooster has a new owner now, though. I have an unrelated NN cockerel that has just started coming in that I will be using next for breeding with the girl's. He has more color to him and has a bowtie instead of the bib. I still have to take a picture of him and change my avatar later.
