Naked Neck/Turken Thread

Okay thanks. But if I breed 2 with large bowties together, 100% of the chicks that hatch will still have the naked necks too?

The way that you would work with your naked neck breeding would be done the same way that they make the Showgirl Sikies. You would follow this chart that show's how to do the neck's on them.

Yeah, but would those be the ones with ugly 3 feathered bowties or the beautiful full bowties? I had always figured it was the full ones since those are what are painted on the standards in the SOP, but now I'm not sure.

those beautiful full bowties do not breed true.

What bow ties are considered full?

I have three with what I consider small bow ties.

And then there is this girl... would she be considered a full bow tie?

The white one is what I've been calling the big beautiful ones. I honestly didn't really know much about those genetics when I first got into it. For some reason I figured if it had a naked neck, all of its iffspri mg would too, no matter what

Well, now you can alway's play with it by breeding Naked Neck to Naked neck, and then keep the chick's that have the least amount of neck feather's.

Let's see if I have this right.
If you have a Cock with NN for naked neck, there will not be very much feathering on his neck, like @BlueBaby , and breed him to a normal bird with no naked neck, nn, then all the chicks will have large bow ties that you like. Like this girl. Mom was a normal Creme Legbar, Dad was NN.

No, if you breed her to that boy, the chick's will come out as some having the bib's and some will have the fully feathered neck's.
