The pure ones will either have a little bow tie with only a couple feathers on each side of neck, with lower front neck and crop clearly visible(like Nava's blue cockerel) or have no bowtie at all. Ones not pure for NN have a much larger bowtie, more like a bib with lots of feathers covering the lower front of neck so almost only the back of neck is visible(like on the black and blue pullets).

I called and they said that it woul have to have at least well developed Hackle feathers, and I chuckled

then he asked what was wrong ? and I said that I had a NN and he laughed too, e said just bring him in.
Ok, this little guy is a keeper, now I have to name him, cause he is going to give me a LOT of Pure NN's

Kev, when will you have a few bantam babies for me ? I will be heading down for the next meet-up because I warned my cousin that he needs to be home on that week-end. Will you have any chicks at your place on the 19th ?

Hi! I got the first 2 eggs in a looong while from my bantam blue/splash/black Naked Necks yesterday!
The bantam Naked Neck pen has blue, splash, and black NN hens with a blue NN roo .
2 of the blue NN girls are frizzled.
2 of the NN girls (a splash and a black) lay green eggs.
I've got 3 new up-and-coming bantam girls (2 blues and a black ).

I'm thinking of shaking things up and moving that blue NN guy in with the frizzle CochinxSilkie girls. Since he is NaNa, the chicks will be all naked necked, right?

Newnan is only 3 hrs from here --- might see you there!
