Naked Neck/Turken Thread

I made these girls by crossing my BLRW roo over my NN hens

so now i'm taking them and crossing them back to the dad (blrw)
and the splash roo that I kept out of 7, I'm taking him back to my BLRW hens

these splashes have rosecombs, and the roo has semi yellow feet, they are going to be put in my breeding pens and hopefully be next spring I'll have my BLRNN's

They're a bit too far away for me to fetch any, but those are lovely looking girls, Nava.

I have a question I've been pondering. Any NN offspring do not exhibit the bare necks and are bred, do they lose the other traits of the NNs (besides the bare necks)? In other words, I find my girls to be sweet, calm, mild mannered chickens. If their offsprings don't inherit the NN gene (showing bare necks), will they also lose not only the bare necked trait, but traits that make the NN what they are in other ways, even if you linebred/interbred them?

I had one hatch that was fully feathered like her mom. She was half black copper maran. Wish I had taken her picture before I sent her and her siblings to my friend Donnie.

I'm going to time it just right so that I hatch some of the eggs from them and I hope they are born on the 1st of Jan.

pgpoultry, Inkheart thanks.
