Bundle up until I look like the Pillsbury Doughboy.

Shovel snow off the deck and a trail to the paths DH plows going out to the barn and coop.

Go out to the coop and apologize to the chickens for the abysmal weather, the 13 degree temps and the 6+ inches of snow we are getting.

I opened the Christmas gifts with my family. We just now got around to it!
I will write in my diary before midnight strikes.

Will cut a path through the snow to the coop, clear the run, shovel the driveway(maybe), cook a pot of stew, and watch as our chickens encounter their first snow.

Path shoveled to coop, run cleared, chickens wigging out at sight of shovel, heads peering out of the coop window as I shoveled. Gave them a pet or two, all calmed down, good for now. Even got an early morning egg.

Will love having a snow day which means another day off work, will make cookies, and see what else happens

We shoveled our driveway twice today, dang thing is about 2700 sq.ft., shoveled and swept out the chicken run a few times plus re- shoveled the path to the them. Fed the birds, we have about 70-80 little birds hoovering the feed today. Played with and fed treats to the chickens also.
