Rainy day blues.
Prepared April treasurer's report for the beagle club.
Watered fern baskets and planter boxes on the porch.
Spent too much time watching 'Big Jake' feed in the back yard - also the dumb dove trying to figure out how to get into the window feeder - much time spent pecking at the clear plastic roof.

Today.....it is just 5:5am here now..too early to know.

I am playing on BYC and having my coffee.

The usual let feather and fur kids out, and if it is no rain, then I would love to work in my garden again. Rearrange my sweet potatoes vines, I love to eat sweet potatoes leafs, we got the type that has soft leafs.

1.) Checked the communal nest. Two broodies left (for the past two weeks, there were four) There were eggs scattered everywhere and two tiny heads peeking out from under Mama(s.)
2.) Cleaned out the scatters ... found two dead pips.
Started to open one ... and it gasped, bled and peeped!
3.) Currently searching for a cord to fit the suddenly malfunctioning one on my N360 'bator ... with a partly zipped egg in my unmentionables.
It's not looking very promising, but if this baby lives, I'm gonna call it BooBee!
