Returned home from our mini vacation to Foxwoods Casino.
Filled bird feeders at home.
Went to the club and filled bird feeders. Wood frogs are 'quacking' away, but no egg masses yet.

I traveled for work
I'm almost home to enjoy the evening

I cover my cherry trees with bird netting or I wouldn't get any cherries. The birds love them.

I had a few apples set last year but the little birds ate them long before they would have been ripe.

Oh, Cherries is precious fruits. Netting for the apple trees.

My initial growing good in my backyard was that....yes, I will share it with the insects, wild birds..etc... then they eat it all.

Planning to spend all day in the garden - cleaning up and replanting

Plant turmeric and ginger plants in chicken runs - trick is to cover it well enough so chickens do not dig them up.

I moved my aggressive rooster and his two mean wives to another coop so I could have their pen as a retirement home for the older girls.

I worked on my project, might do some more.
I did a load of laundry.
I crushed up all the eggshells sitting on the counter.

For some reason, this has tired me out.

Made 6 wheelbarrows of wood chips. Still lots and lots of branches waiting to be chipped.

The elm branches have been in the piles all winter but still have enough moisture left in them that they are trying to bloom.

Elm seems to take a long time to dry, doesn't it?
