At a local farm. They have kind of a fall festival, with pumpkins and stuff. So it’s a temporary job, but I love the place and I’m excited to work there

That was my day as well; my eyes were hurting so badly last night that I took a Covid test (resulted negative).
There have already been several severe cases nearby, including at least one in the LTC connected to the hospital where I work.

Once I decided I was not dying of a headache today, I did a load of dishes in the dishwasher and later a load of laundry. Tomorrow will be back from my day off…

Super surprised I done have a migraine here today, it’s miserably cold and windy. Not at all like the end of summer, more like end of September! And that weather usually sparks migraine with me.

1) checked my broody - 2 chicks hatched.
2) went to work - enough said there
3) came home early checked broody - 3 chicks hatched… will a fourth hatch???

Went to Pet Smart.
Gassed up the truck and filled gas can for lawn mowers.
Worked one dog at the club.

Cleaned out the new coop.
Went to the pharmacy to pick up saline nasal drops for my daughter.
Used some plastic file organizers and put them together with zip ties for temporary laying boxes. Added some hay and golf balls.
They look like milk crates just not nearly as sturdy.
Spread fresh shavings in the coop.
Took a shower and I’m sitting on the porch. It’s a beautiful day!

Broke down the two broody jails and hung them up on their hooks.

The Texas Ragweed and Goldenrod must be doing their pollen thing. My eyes are watering like crazy! I think that's what caused the miserable Migraine yesterday.

Retreated to the house and closed the windows to keep the pollen at bay. I'll watch TV and crochet.

We harvested some frames of honey.
We extracted 5 1/2 quarts of honey.
We cleaned up after extracting honey.

I did a load of laundry and went to the store because we're almost out of a couple of important things.

Played 9 holes of golf with my husband.

Before heading to the course I heard a commotion from the chickens. Went out to see what was happening. 18 were in the coop, 1 was in the enclosed pen, 3 were under the trees on the far side of their outdoor pen. Everyone was safe.

Realized that walking through the chicken pen in golf cleats was not the best thing to do...
