Today it is 39c (102f) in the shade so I am running around changing ice packs in water bowls (2 dogs, 2 cats and 6 hens), switching on and off electric fans for hens and cats, checking the solar battery doesn’t overflow and is used efficiently, ensuring hubby drinks enough water, providing hens, dogs and hubby with watermelon, providing hens with cold tinned tomatoes (extra vitamins c and e), providing additional poultry tonic to my hens who tend to go broody (worth a try ), making sure dogs and cats stay indoors and hubby doesn’t decide to go cycling or canoeing or something equally silly in these temperatures.
I seem to be the only one sweating
