Name 3 Things You Did Or Will Do Today

I feel bad for disrupting your romantic notions! 🤣 I will send you a pic of my fireplace shortly.
That is just the thing, living in sunny place without snow in winter, I can only have romantic notion of winter snow and all that it entails. Cosy warm up in front of fireplace, roasted chestnut on 1 hand, red wine on the other. No notion reality of freezing ears, hands hurt by the cold, and other nuts trees beside the one I know.
We have almond all season, peacan nuts imported from America. But they don't have that romantic notion of fireplace, redwine.... 😊

I am in Australia.
You have never seen or tasted chestnut? How can that be, I thought chestnut only grow in Cold weather and having snow I thought chestnut will just be in abundant. Here is a picture of roasted chestnut I got from google search.

Chestnut trees got wiped out by disease in many areas of the U.S. a long time ago.

We used to roast chestnuts on an open hearth. The last time I had some, I nuked them in the microwave.

They are usually available in stores around the winter holidays with all the other nuts.

Here you go.

That is sad that some places in America no longer have this Chestnut trees, but there are still places that it survived so it is still available in stores.
Try some out @BigBlueHen53 . I recommend roasted, but you can boil if you like that. Just need to be careful with roast, cut it sideway first to release the air when roast, could be dangerous with roasting. I don't actually drink alcohol, but the notion of holding a glass of red wine with chestnut on the other hand is another of my romantic notion of snow winter land. I guess, I can not go anywhere with so many chickens, so the imagination gone really wild. 😊

That I will do when I visit America in winter season - Christmas.
Make snowman, snow angles, learn to skii, taste snow..hopefully it tastes like shaved ice, see ice rain. :)
we made snow cream on Monday. we mixed snow with vanilla, sugar, heavy cream and milk. it was delicious :drool
