Rehomed 19 chicks, only one of which was a confirmed pullet.

Also rehomed one Northern Exposure tomato plant.

Moved the remaining chicks from the brooder to the grow out pen.

Made 2 wheelbarrows of wood chips which finished off the brush piles. The little birds that spent the winter in the brush piles are not happy.

Went for a morning run.
Will work out in the garden some more.
Will do homework.

Will spread the egg cases around the fruit trees, the garden and the greenhouse.

Fell yesterday, didn't get hurt, but I'm sore today. So this is what I'll do today......
Feed the chickens and barn cats
Feed hubby
Watch TV and crochet

On grand-dog duty at my son's house today so:
-Let dogs out this morning.
-Rinse & dry Goose off after he found mud around backside of the house.
-Took them out to play for a little bit after feeding them....Goose finds mud AGAIN.
-Rinse & dry Goose off for the 2nd time before 9:00 am.
New plan: go out to front of house instead when taking them outside again later.
-Chase Goose & Presley down to neighbors (my son & his fiance live on 12 acres) since they hear neighbors dogs out & want to see what's going on. No leashes or collars on them & they are NOT listening to my commands to come back.
-Finally get to them. Attempt to carry Goose (6-7 mos old Golden Retriever puppy) & pray Presley will decide to follow since all I have is a handful of fluff to grab onto.
Newest plan: staying inside for the rest of the day after deciding exercise & sunshine are over-rated! Might be due to lack of oxygen. Luckily looks like dogs are just as tired as I am after my impromptu sprint & weight workout!
