Puppies!?!?!?!Fed and watered the chicks, chickens and ducklings. Managed to get the Mama dog and puppies fed. Still need to get the water bowls filled and then water the garden. I also need to get the flowers planted.

Where can your hens be? I hope those 8 are ok, might be just hiding some where. You must be living in a big property.Another hen showed up this morning from the predator attack May 3rd. She had her feathers ripped off her back but no other injuries. Still missing 8 hens and 1 rooster.
Went back to the farm equipment auction. Loaded up some of the "goodies" we bought and brought back the Vermeer baler. Will go back tomorrow for the rest.
Will go to bed early, very tired. (mentally & physically)

We downsized our farm when me moved our farm here. We have 56 acres here. I believe it was dogs who were the predators. Dogs are not killing because they are hungry, they just tear the chickens apart for fun!Where can your hens be? I hope those 8 are ok, might be just hiding some where. We don't have one anymore since we moved out to the country 35 yrs ago. I do need to walk more...but with the water ponding in our yard, I'd probably bury a walk behind mower. At least we live in a rural area and all the neighbors have the same situation...and most don't much care about it. I'm blessed to live out here, on 20 acres, 10 wooded 7-800' from the road. Yes, all in all, life is good. If it wasn't wet, I would relax outside, watch the chickens and the grass grow. Tomorrow is another day.My mowing has been hand pushing a lawn mower.
Maybe next time, have lunch prior to the dentist...Semi annual trip to the dentist. A tooth that was first filled over 50 years ago has hairline cracks. I'm going to be proactive and just go for a crown, not redoing the filling.
I turned the compost pile.
I string trimmed around the garden.
We had lunch out after the dentist.
