My porcelain D'uccle was not as loud as a standard, but he was shrill ... which is a whole different kind of "noisy!"

We have been talking and I have been edging to jump in the car to collect my bantam rooster..... The only reason I have not done so is that it has been raining these last 3 days...my chicken runs are muddy again.....

I visited with 2 of my sons. ♡♡
I made a shade cloth lean-to for my seedlings that I'm hardening off.
I played with my grandson.

Happy Mother's Day to our Moms of humans and animals!

I'm going to pick rhubarb today. I'll make jam tomorrow.
I'll probably go grub hunting again: grubs (and weeds) out of the garden, treats for the chickens.
I'm sure I'll do something else on this last day before the humidity arrives.

Filled bird feeders/worked two dogs.
Took donated items to Hunterdon Health/located PT center for the Princess
Planted marigolds along front walk.

1.) Checked the communal nest. Two broodies left (for the past two weeks, there were four) There were eggs scattered everywhere and two tiny heads peeking out from under Mama(s.)
2.) Cleaned out the scatters ... found two dead pips.
Started to open one ... and it gasped, bled and peeped!
3.) Currently searching for a cord to fit the suddenly malfunctioning one on my N360 'bator ... with a partly zipped egg in my unmentionables.
It's not looking very promising, but if this baby lives, I'm gonna call it BooBee!

Every time I went to go outside to work, it rained. I gave up and decided to stay in, then sun came out.

Made egg salad.

Started a new crochet pattern, with the yarn from the afghan I didn't like.

Went through our filing cabinets and threw out old IRS 1040's and all the farm paperwork work related to them. I didn't think I would need paperwork from 1988 to 2010 any more.

Today....
Nothing much can be done in this rain..which is raining dog and cat now
Do indoor work....cooking, cleaning, sorting and throwing out stuff not use for so long...mini spring cleaning in Autumn.
