I washed my hair, and I will bike out in the neighborhood and then go to my orientation meeting.

This is what happened yesterday while I was trying to make dinner. Our Oak tree near the road decided to fall, wipe the power lines and block the road. Our stand-by generator kicked in and saved dinner.

Our electric cooperative showed quickly to repair the broken lines and the county highway department cleared the tree off the road.
The tree had been hit by lightning and apparently the roots kept smoldering until there was nothing left to hold the tree.

Today I will rejoice because it's the last day of school. I will also plant my beans and sunflowers in the garden

This post is today.
Out early to move the cut up Oak tree. The highway department would have removed the tree for us but we wanted the tree for firewood. It will keep us warm for maybe 4 years.

It has been raining here since the beginning of May, thunderstorms almost every night. We were using our tractors to move the cut up tree. Until we ran into trouble and its name was MUD. Heavy tractors and mud do not get along very well.

It is still raining today, hopefully it will stop someday.

Today...
I will go to the near by pet store to get 5kg of pellet 18% protein for my chickens to try out. I want to mix pellet to their crumble so that reduce the wastage of crumble feed.

On the way to the pet store, I will get some Hawaiian purple sweet potato. I recently discovered this, my chickens and I are hooked on it. It is really sweet and beautiful purple colour. I oven baked the whole thing. I will try to grow this.

Catch up on indoor work if it rains today, it is reported to be raining today.

I got sunburned, my own fault for wearing a tank top and not sunscreen

Took two dogs to the handler for a field trial on Sunday.
Went to a movie with the Princess.
Stopped at the Peasant Grill for dinner.

I flew home from Las Vegas.
I found my turkey brooding on chicken eggs.
I will take the dogs for a quick walk before it gets too dark.
