I had to look up silver pheasant pictures. They sure are pretty. If I were going to raise pheasant I'd jump at it. (then again, I wasn't going to raise quail either....) Also, my quail eggs are less than half fertile (don't ask me why, i haven't figured it out yet I have a great male to female ratio), so I really don't have anything to trade. *sigh*

They all made it in one piece... I've never seen pheasant eggs before, so I was surprised when I opened the box. Patrick sent me 5 ringnecks, 1 white and 2 silver!!!

thank you Patrick!!

Now I just have to figure out how to get them in the incubator along with 355 chukar eggs.

You could always send some of those chukar eggs my way, then you wouldn't have the problem

They've already been in transit since 4/9... not sure they'd make another trip.

LOL! And I just stuffed my incubator, and no more eggs will fit under my broody's butt!

Two weeks ago I had 3 broody silkies... would have been good for them.

That's my problem too! I have both bators full and 4 broodies. One broody is hatching now, and the other 3 have as many as they can hold! They are all 3 bantams, 2 have 12 eggs (bantam), and one has 6 or so eggs (bantam and standard). One is dutch, one golden sebright, one silkie/OEG mix, so they are at capacity!

I had another broody, but my silkie mix ran her off the nest, or I would have room for more eggs

Of course, the one that is hatching now is an OEG. She has already been brooding for 6 weeks, so I could take her chicks away and set more eggs under her, but I worry that she would leave the eggs. I doubt it, but that would be my luck

Thank you Miss Shelley Got your eggs today... how long did you take to wrap those tiny eggs? They are in the bator with another batch of Courturnix hopefully this batch will come out better than the last one. I only had 20 out of 50 hatch but did have some 3 sets of twins that fully developed but never piped.
