He's a cute lil' poodle...........I was trying to think of something cute, small........I dunno.

We had a poodle a long time ago. Our original name was Pooh! hehehe

I still like Ripply...It reminds me of Riley, because you liked that name.

That is exactly how I got my toy poodle. She was for sure from a puppy mill, her tail was chopped off very short and the people that dumped her lived in the slums. I am sure they probably bought her at a pet store. They claimed the poodles belonged to the kids and they were living in the backyard barking all the time, so they got rid of them

She was only 4 lbs when I brought her home and was completely terrified of people, so I am sure she was yelled at or had things thrown at her. Anyway, she is the happiest little mutt in the world now. The sweetest thing I have ever known, she is completely healed mentally except her fear of strangers. I named her Gnocchi, which is an Italian pasta dumpling

So it fits her perfectly, she is a bit tubby now

I think it would be easier to wait until you find out what his personality is like, to name him. Do you want a name name or a cute name?

I think your niece would be honored to think you named your dog after her! Kids love animals and probably would not think badly of it!

The previous owners brought him in with a chihuaha. Both full blooded. He was full of fleas and ticks and all matted. I saw the pic......it was sad. They got him groomed right away though.

They said they couldn't afford to feed them anymore. I figure they were used for breeding and with the economy and all probably just weren't selling dogs. Sure couldn't cost much to feed him. He only weight maybe 6 lb. Just my guess.......but I bet I'm right.
