everyone's ideas have been so fun!

so far i haven't decided on the name of the paper, but have taken some of these ideas for column names...

The Daily Vent...adapting to The Weekly Vent for the Letters to the Editor , thank you bluey

Cock-a-doodle-news...The Coop Scoop; combined these two to form a column for our rooster, Sunny which will include egg production, birth/death notices, new arrivals etc. he will encourage the flock like a coach of a sports team. thanks MiniDriver & PAChickenChick


i will need some interviewees for the next few weeks if anyone is interested...just think, you could be in print!

PS- I'll be an "interviewee"! Fun fun fun! I used to do a "Collins Family Newspaper" called Kitten Times... good for you! Your kids will love it!

the Kitten Times! awesome! i am hoping my kids will like it as well as other peoples children if they want to use it too.

i am thinking of a 'Good Egg' column...kind of a 'caught being good' thing...

ie: James Dollinger was sited helping his sister after she took a nasty spill from her bike.

great!! i have two interviewee's set, now we need some more...might have to start a new thread...let me ponder!

looks like we are going with:

THE BLESSED NEST CACKLER

all ideas were AWESOME! they churned (or scrambled)our imagination and several became column names.
my DH finalized the name! (hey, he put the mailbox up, had to give him a big vote)

keep sending ideas for the newspaper. if your family would like to be involved or you would like to contribute, let me know! the more the better...

RECIPES (all with eggs and can be made by children with supervision)
ADVICE (send in child's question or problem to be answered by Bess, a very smart chicken)
THE VENT (Letters to the Editor, where you can 'let it all out' !)
FRIENDS OF FRECKLES (interviews with other people or other animals)
PEPPER'S PAGE (fun stuff...send in your kid appropriate jokes, stories, quizzes etc)
