Must not have any silkies. I'd get a couple of those and you'd most always have a broody. I have to constantly kick mine out and/or put in jail or we'd never have any eggs around here.I wanted to hatch this year, but I only hatch with broody hens and no one went broody this year.
Hope I have better luck this spring and summer.
I'm going to try the trick that works best with horses, just get them all in the same colors you already have, thay way when he asks if it's a new horse (in this case a chick) nope, been here for awhile now

I have to have that name, pecan pie is one of my specialties and one of the family favorites. 
So much a favorite, I joke that they'd shut the door in my face if I showed up without a pair of them in my hands....
