Name this creature

I went through about 12 last summer. Between hawks snatching them out of the fields and the crazy things wandering off to the highway 1/2 mile away, I lost them all. I may try some again later. They are death to ticks around the yard!

One of my neighbors has some pearl Guineas. They are really cute. I am thinking about getting 2 for my yard too for tick control.

Well it just may be that it is a type of cross breed, here in the South things just kind of adapt over the years. I also agree that it reminds me of a type of dinosaur, something prehistoric looking. I also am having territorial issues with the fellow, it is male, still trying to locate a female to calm him down a bit. He likes to fight with my male turkey alot and as big as the turkey is he nevers fights back just tries to run away, very doscile. Have 7 cokena eggs under a hen, anyone have anyidea on how long they take to hatch, same as the chicks, or longer? or shorter?
