What is your favorite chicken name? I need to name some chickens of mine..... Both Hen and Rooster names allowed.

    On the MN prairie.
Fricassee, Dumplin', Stew.... Actually, I don't name them. Makes it much easier that way when something happens to one.

So far we have a Juliet and a Stella. But I think Stella will be renamed to Cosmo. Other names we are going to use (once we can tell everyone apart and know who will stay and who will go) are Alice, Rosie and Lucy. We are also considering Isabel and Pearl. We like people names I guess.

I think all chicks we hatch will be named with Greek Gods/Goddesses, per my dd's love of Greek myths: Aphrodite, Athena, Persephone, Apollo, etc...

Yes i know about being obsessed without having. I was for the first four months of the year. Then I got "Fog Horn" my Leghorn rooster. I have not named the others more for the ease of "something" happening later to them.
