Little Buddha - first chick I hatched, I was shocked at how round her little belly was.
Princess Pretty - wlesummer that spends most of her day looking in the mirror.
Fizzik - Welsummer cockeral after Andre the Giant's (RIP) character in the Princess Bride....because he's.......GIANT! Anybody want a peanut?

We were planning to go with the old-fashioned traditional names like Agatha, Matilda, Cloris, and of course, Henrietta. But who knows? We'll probably wait until they are feathered, to see if their coloring affects our naming them. Or, to make sure that none of our pullets are actually cockerels!

Roosters= Bufford, Axle, Lil Red, Hancock, Ray Mysterio, Jethro, Billy Jack and 2 unnamed
Hens= Blackie, Ruby, Lucy, Willa, Minnie, Joyce, Sweetie, Ofina, Lil Odessa, Alice, 11 unnamed
4 or 5 under broody no names
And a partridge in a pair tree

Thanks for the ideas. We've had a good laugh over many of them.

We are keeping only 3 out of our six as the rest will be meat birds. Chicky numm numms is ine of them. There is one really loud and annoying one we are naming after an inlaw. One will be Pebbles.

yeah, Joyce is named after a family member. When we first named her that We would call the family member and tell her (Well Joyce layed a egg.)

Is it smart to name them if you're eventually going to serve them for dinner? I'd like to name ours when they get here, BUT the DH said it would not be a good idea because of ours plans for them. Of course, the hens won't grace our table until they stop laying, but still...

Buff Orpington - Buffy,
Australorpe - Sheila, and
Black Star - Aretha

Freedom Ranger meat birds will have names suitable for dinner conversation.
