I can tell my two barred rocks apart already because of their different beak markings. I named them Blackie and Brunhilda.

I was trying to come up with names for the 6 Reds, and thought I'd stick with the Bs:

Blanche
Barbara
Bronwyn
Bubbles
Bonnie
Buela


Although DH suggested we go with:

Boiled
Broiled
Blackened
Barbecued
Braised
Baked

LOL Tonight, my hubby referred to my gorgeous Buff Orpington girls as Larry, Curly and Mo. Silly man. I love finding just the right names for my girls:

Maggie (from The Thorn Birds by Aussie novelist, Colleen McCullough)
Matilda (from Aussie anthem Waltzing Matilda)

Not all of our chickens/chicks are named.. our grown roosters are though... Buford and Javiar

Some chicken names

Lucky - after she survived MAJOR mauling in a predator attack
Pippy (very tall pullet -- became JAVIAR when we realized she was a he)
Specks - red mixed hen with black... specks!!
Three Buff Chicks that we hatched in our first ever hatching - Omelett, Peeps and Tweety
Sprout - a cute little Grayish cochin that hatched from a bonus egg in one of the swaps... just a tiny little thing
Elvira - Black Orpington - hoping it is a pullet -- otherwise will be changed to Elvis..lol

The friendlies get the names now since our flock has "grown" due to chicken math that is gone wild..lol

I need a good name for a Delaware pullet, a white orpington pullet, an Americauna, and a couple of RIR pullets -- suggestions anyone?
