I misread your thread and thought you wanted names of male and female explorers, so I started thinking about famous pairs of explorers. I got Indiana and Marion (Raiders of the lost Ark), Luke and Leia (Star Wars. Duh...) and Jack and Sam (Stargate SG1) before I realized I was mistaken.
Still think they're good names for a couple of chickens, though!

I have a lavender Ameraucana named Periwinkle. Chose that name because it is a purple / blue color like the chick was.
I also have a roo who used to be named Maisey. Once I realized that Maisey was a roo I renamed him to Dexter. Why Dexter? Because he is a ginger and Dexter (as in the HBO series Dexter) was the only famous ginger male I could think of off the top of my head at the time.
