The big chickens were named as they grew, Lou/Lu became Louie, Joe/Jojo became Jojo, Frieda, Sweetie (wrong name, shoulda been witch), queenie. Cloe came named.
The babies bantam cochins grew into their names. Roger was named at day one, the name came to mind and boom, it stuck. Then Suzy Q and Penny(was tiny like a penny).
