naming chickens...do you have a method?

If I come across a really awsome name I put it on my list (that's right I have a two page list of names that I probably will never use all of them). Then when they get older I will match thier personalities to one of the names on the list. Sadly most of them are boy names and in my opinion boy names are just alot cooler than girl names, but I don't have any roos. *sigh* So how's you Saturday?

I choose a list of names I like well especially characters from books and movies, and a month or so of having the chicks I name them on what they act and look like.
Some of the names....

Felicity (Felix for short) - White Silkie Hen (she has a crossbeak comes running when I say her name)

Alice - White Silkie Hen (named after my favorite character of Twilight "Alice Cullen" of course)

Rosalie - Red Silkie Hen (named after Rosalie Hale from Twilight because she is more "showy" than most of my other silkies and likes strutting)

Gurdy - Red Silkie Hen (named Gurdy because I like the name, she has a "overbite" is what I call it)

Riley - Red Silkie Hen (Just like the name, she is very independent and hates being picked up)

Jasper - White Silkie Rooster (Verryyyy quiet always the rooster to stay out of stuff sit in the corner always relaxed, doesn't really act like roosters should but I really do not mind. Named after my second favorite character "Jasper Hale" from Twilight)

Dodge - White Silkie Rooster (Definatly more roosterlike than Jasper, named after George Clooney's character "Dodge" from the movie "LeatherHeads")

Emmett - Red Silkie Rooster (The most roosterish of my silkie roosters, Emmett is one of my favorite characters in Twilight but Emmett the chicken is one of my least favorite chickens, he's grumpy and likes being mean)

Buzz - Golden Sebright Rooster (The BOSS of the roosters keeps everyone in line even though he is prob one of the smallest but he is one of the oldest)

Carlisle - Golden Sebright Rooster (Tries to be like Buzz really does not act much like Carlisle from the book Twilight but I liked the different name not your average chicken name)

Edward - Silver Sebright Rooster (Named Edward because of the cross beak reminds me of Bella's favorite smile of Edward's the crooked smile from the book, but he acts nothing like him except for the curiosity thing)

Isabella - Silver Sebright Hen (She was my only silver hen so I thought it fit, definatly a favorite loves sitting on my shoulder, and she is very shy around chickens not people)

Esme - Golden Sebright Hen (Love her sits on my shoulder also pretty shy around other chickens not people)

Jill - Golden Sebright Hen (Loved the name had to use it. Love her sits on shoulder also shy with other chickens not people I consider her, Esme, and Isabella like sisters always together)

Bonnie - White Crested Black Polish Hen (Way Outgoing one of the first to greet you at the door sits in lap and is BFF with Sydney)

Sydney - I really do not know the breed pretty sure just a mutt chicken (White with black crest and black polka dots, lays white eggs 4 toes, follows Bonnie and very outgoing chases our dog and sits in my lap, attacks roosters)

Mojo - Splashed Old English Bantam Rooster (Named after "Mojojojo" from the old TV show "PowerPuff Girls" favorite rooster ever acts like a hen except for the crowing part, never seen him hurt anyone would prob sit on any nest of eggs for any sore bummed hen, coos at me when I pet him and loves kisses)

Ruddie - Easter Egger Rooster (Loves to play fight w/ his "brother Ralfie" pretty red color one of the youngest but one of the biggest)

Ralfie - Easter Egger Rooster ("Ruddie's brother" I call him calico because of the odd assortment of color brown, hazel, white, gold, green, blue, red)

I obviously have to much time on my hands where I could be doing homework but instead taking notes on my chicks behavior and traits.

I stink at naming things so my husband and his brother named our hens the day they picked them up for me, while I was still at work. They named them after their favorite ways to eat chicken: Kung Pao, Tandoori, and General Tso. They kind of went by color too: the buff orpingon is Kung Pao and the RIR is Tandoori. But General Tso doesn't really apply to here color, since she's a Barred Rock and I guess she would have to have been named Jamaican Jerk or "Blackened Chicken", which isn't nearly as fun as General Tso.

I plan on using female cartoon character names.

Penelope (Perils of Penelope Pitstop)
Wilma, Betty and Pebbles (Flintstones)
Velma and Daphne (Scooby Doo)
Sandy (Sponge Bob)
Josie (Josie and the Pussycats).

Feel free to add!
