Nankin Bantams

Pics
Hello, I have been away for a while, but back in the Nankin games again here in Roseburg, Oregon. Building my flock of six up with new blood this year, hoping to have eggs to sale next year. Just hatched three straight comb hens of mine, how lucky is that! Seven more from Florida hatching next week. Nankin happy dance.

Texas Nankin enthusiasts, I have 5 rosecomb Nankin chicks that as of today are 2-1/2 weeks old that I would be glad to share with anyone within driving distance of the Austin area...and I will be happy to meet you halfway somewhere. I adore Nankins and my intention was to start a small flock again but am dealing with a family health issue and don't really have time right now to rebuild their coop or watch to see if I can safely integrate them with the larger chickens.

It has been years since I shipped adult Nankins. A few years ago I was told by USPS that you had to get aproval from airline before I could ship. Is it any easier now? Wanting to sale proven Nankin in the next year, so reaching out for anyone's help. Carol

You need to be NPIP to ship, so if you haven't gone that route, yet, now would be a good time to get started. If you're ready, now, you may want to do some homework, first. Delays have been deadly for a lot of birds, this Spring. Now that the temps are increasing, delays could be more dangerous than before.

Thank you, not NPIP, so will have to look into that. Thought of shipping in the fall after my eggs have proven themselves to be good stock. Carol

In West TN I have two single comb cockerels available. I'd rather give them to an enthusiast than some rando on Craigslist, so if anyone's interested let me know. They'll be 8 weeks old later this week. None of them are crowing yet. I'll be sure to post some pictures if I remember.
