In my book, the Utah Utes are the 2008 champs regardless of what the pundits and the BCS says...

Don't mean to rain on your parade but undefeated with a bowl win against an Alabama team that also had one loss (like florida and Oklahoma) pretty much seals the deal in my mind...

I have no rooting interest. I'm from NYC and have been no further west than Boulder, CO in my life.

Florida being named champ is a joke in my opinion. There's an undefeated team out there that beat a major one loss top seed by a landslide.

I didnt care who won, But I think they need a PLAYOFF SYSTEM. That way we can see who the best team really is.

Amen, either that or the NCAA should take the scheduling away from univerities and make everyone's schedule comparable with an EQUAL amount of home and away games. If you don't make sure that the 2nd tier teams play enough great teams, how can you deny them when they go undefeated? What more can they possibly do? Right now, the system in an absolute sham.

The NCAA pays lip service to everyone having a chance but it's apparent if you aren't one of the top 30 programs in the nation, you don't have a prayer...

If they can have a playoff system in college basketball, why not football too.

Of the one loss teams going into the bowls, I would have picked USC over Florida, Oklahoma and Alabama. Add in Utah and this year begged for a playoff... a real pity the year is wasted....
