Ok so I have 2 scovy ducklings due to hatch in a few days and was wondering if I could feed them just food like grass, veggies, fruit, worms etc. But they will need to be getting everything they need protein, calcium, niacin so they don't get angel wing, etc…
So I was wondering if anyone knows of a good feed mixture I could feed them?
They wont be getting regular feed like chick starter if this works out…
Note- this is kinda like an experiment….

When my Muscovy ducklings are first hatched mamas have them out on the ground showing them all good things to eat so if it's nice an toasty where you are in NC take them out for field trips they will find all kinds of tasty stuff to noodle in and taste. It's so much fun watching them learn. I do this with any I raise too weather permitting.

Yes I take men outside after they are dry and let them run around outside….

I hatch *hundreds* of Muscovies every year and your ducklings will do best if you start them off on proper diet which is easier to buy than it is to make, so I suggest that you try to find Purinia Flock Raiser, Mazuri duck starter, or something similar. I did a growth experiment with brooder raised ducklings fed proper feed vs broody raised ducklings and the results were remarkable. The brooder raised grew at the rate I expected, but the broody raised ones grew slowly and I suspect that is because she spent most of the day out in the weeds and mud trying to find food for them.
