So a brooding hen was in a seperate part of the coup, while seperated in there I intorduced 4, 6 week old chicks .She left them alone and didn't get off of the eggs .
a couple of days later she was keeping them warm under her feathers. A week later she hatched to chicks and all was well.2 datyts later she brought the 2 chicks out side of the coup into the run . Today I found one dead so I brought the remaining one into the house and but it in a booder. aming I doing the right thing or should I leave the chick with the mom?

Sorry you lost your chick.
I think you should put the hen and the remaining chick in a separate area for awhile. She will probably be happy to just have her baby with her. Re-introduce them to the rest of the flock when the chick's older and stronger.

I would leave the chick with her mom. You don't know why the other chick died (sorry to hear that :( ) but removing the other chick and leaving it on its own will make her lonely and she could die from that too.

thanks I think I'll try to keep them seperate.??
