Nature Photography

Pics
On the subject of nature photography, I am tossing around the idea of trying underwater photography this summer. I have the camera for it, the drawback is it’s an old film camera.

Maybe I’ll try using this camera while I’m fishing.

I didnt know you were a hunter! I am too!
I enjoy hunting as much, if not more than I do photography. Deer, hog, and duck mostly. That said, I like wildlife photography because it's very similar to hunting (when targeting wild animals). You have to be stealthy and use environmental features to your advantage to get close enough to get a good shot. But I'm also fat and lazy. So if I find some tame critters, I won't be passing them up for some "easy" pics... 😁

When I photographed the last eclipse, a guy that parked across the road from me had the same telescope as you. He took some wide angle shots of the eclipse but he was mainly focused on visual observation through his telescope. He let me look through at and it was pretty cool looking at the sun with that much magnification.

I've only been using camera lenses for astro but one day I'd like to get an 8" telescope for shooting planets and such. I'll have to upgrade my tracking mount first though...

Underwater would be neat. I have an Olympus TG-6 I've used underwater for nighttime photos and videos. A film camera would be more of a challenge but would still be fun and worth a try...

I am as well a lover of photography/ has turned very much into nature the past several years and I couldn’t be happier!! I had 15+ years into people photography, but enjoyed what mother nature did for me!! I have a website: www.ssrusticdesign.com that kind of showcases most of it but I do have many recents I’d love to share as well. Thankyou for having “the eye”!!

I've been photographing wildlife for several years and I really enjoy it. I like being out in nature, but I rarely take time to photograph it, without the animals, lol. I'm looking to broaden my horizon as a photographer, so I'm going to try and take more nature pics. I bet there are many people here that like taking photos of nature too. Landscapes, trees, flowers, the sky, anything in nature goes. If you have some nature pics, feel free to post them here!

You get a lot of red-tinted moon pictures. I think it looks stunning! How do you do it?
