my 300mm at 300. This was moments after sunset. I'd hold off for at least a half hour if you can so you can do longer exposures andf get more tail. I'm going to try again but I need a better spot. Lost it in the smog and that was all she wrote

I’m going out tonight to try and photograph the comet. I’ll post pictures if I’m successful.

Nice. It should get higher in the sky every day over the next week. I think it will be getting dimmer also though.
